John,

When I decided to run for state superintendent again, I knew I would be up against tough odds. Not only is my opponent an incumbent, but she also has the ability to fund her own campaign. In fact, she's already put $35,000 of her personal wealth into her campaign account.

Tomorrow is an important fundraising deadline, and I'm worried we won't hit our goal.

While my opponent tries to buy this seat, I am relying on contributions from teachers and parents to win in November. Can you chip in $10 today to help us reach our goal before tomorrow's finance deadline?
I'll be honest, my family is struggling to adjust to the coronavirus pandemic. This is an incredibly stressful time for folks and I understand if you cannot give right now. However, if you are able to help us finish this finance period strong, I would really appreciate your support.

Can you donate $10 today?

We are out-raising my opponent with $5 contributions because this race is about our children and the future of our state, not who can use their personal wealth to write bigger checks. Unlike her race, our campaign is about you - no matter how small the donation, your supports makes a difference.

I hope you will join us today.

In solidarity,
P.S. I know times are hard for many of us and I understand if you can't donate right now. I hope you'll continue following my campaign while you take care of yourself and your family and ultimately vote for me come November.
