Happy Pride 🏳️🌈, team!
Pride Month is a time to celebrate the accomplishments and achievements of the LGBTQ+ community and reaffirm our commitment to achieving full equality and freedom.
Pat was proud to kick off Pride Month in New Paltz this past weekend — where 20 years ago, at Peace Park, Mayor West performed the first same-sex weddings in New York — seven years before our state legalized same-sex marriage.
Pat has always supported the LGBTQ+ community in its fight for equal rights. He established a full-time Human Rights Commissioner as Ulster County Executive to safeguard the rights and secure the freedoms of all residents. And now, he’s continuing that fight in Congress.
As a member of the Congressional Equality Caucus, Pat is a proud co-sponsor of the Equality Act, which would protect individuals from discrimination in employment, housing, education, and federally funded programs on the basis of sex, gender identity, and sexual orientation.
At a time when far-right Republicans continue to attack the LGBTQ+ community, now is the time to show that we stand with our friends, family, and neighbors in their fight to achieve full equality.
Please add your name to support Pat’s work to protect and advance LGBTQ+ rights in Congress. This month and every month, let’s continue our fight to ensure that LGBTQ+ Americans can access the full range of freedoms they deserve.
Thanks,
Pat Ryan HQ
