After the recent air strikes in Rafah that resulted in the deaths of over 45 people and the injury of 200 others, we are urgently calling for an immediate ceasefire and a stop to the supply of offensive weapons to Israel, including the type of munitions used to commit this latest massacre.

The latest strike ignited a camp inhabited by displaced Palestinians, leading to international condemnation and outrage. President Biden has cautioned that an offensive strike on Rafah would be his "red line," and any breach of this line would result in serious consequences. Therefore, President Biden and Congress must:

  1. Take immediate action to secure a permanent ceasefire.
  2. Ensure that the Israeli government is held accountable for its assault on vulnerable Palestinians, who have nowhere to seek shelter and safety.
  3. Guarantee that US military aid complies with international law and is not used against civilians and vulnerable populations, or else cease the delivery of offensive military aid.

The escalating violence has caused immense suffering, resulting in the deaths of over 36,000 Palestinians and worsening the humanitarian crisis.

At this critical juncture, we need your help to urge the Biden administration and Congress to take immediate action to secure and enforce a permanent ceasefire, to abide by the terms of the Administration’s ceasefire proposed plan, and to halt the delivery of offensive weapons.

We can no longer provide unconditional military aid to Israel. We urge Congress and the administration to enforce President Biden’s ceasefire policy, uphold his commitment to the Rafah redline or else the US must suspend offensive military funding to Israel.

In solidarity,
