Folks,
As we kick off a new month, I wanted to share some updates about the work that members of the Groundwork Organizer Network are focusing on heading into the summer — and then I want to hear your thoughts.
First off, one of our Alabama Network Members, People's Budget Birmingham, is building a stronger community through participatory budgeting, a democratic process designed to ensure no one is left out of important discussions regarding how public budgets should be spent.
The Oklahoma Parent Legislative Advocacy Coalition is dedicated to strengthening Oklahoma’s public school system — and right now, they’re combating the increasing push to privatize education and are working to block the state government from allowing taxpayer dollars to fund the nation’s first religious charter school.
That’s just a quick peek into what two Groundwork partners are focused on, and now, I want to know what your top priorities are.
Will you take a minute to fill out our June Priorities Survey? Hearing from members of this team is important to ensure we’re addressing issues that matter most to you.
Thank you,
Joe
