Former President Donald Trump is a convicted felon -- a first in U.S. history.

The hush money trial found Trump guilty of 34 counts of falsification of business records in the first degree, which is a felony in the state of New York. Each of the 34 charges corresponds to a check, invoice, or voucher created to reimburse Trump's former lawyer, Michael Cohen, for his hush money payment to Stormy Daniels.

The conviction does not stop Trump from being eligible to run for president. He is also still able to vote unless he is in prison at the time of the election.

Israeli forces issued another attack on Rafah, displacing over one million people from their places of shelter. The latest attack only adds to the ongoing humanitarian catastrophe across Gaza. Residents have told Al Jazeera that there is no safe place to escape from the genocide.

President Biden is urging Israel to instate his multi-stage ceasefire plan to end the war in Gaza.

Election interference occurs when one entity, typically the government of a foreign nation, attempts to disrupt or influence the election process of another country, while disinformation is false content and messaging deliberately disseminated to produce a harmful outcome.
