Speak up for hens in Japan. 🌏
Hi there,
As the saying goes, a rising tide lifts all boats. And across Asia, the tide of change is rising as thousands of people add their voices to the global chorus calling for a cage-free future.
Today, we’re launching a campaign encouraging one of the largest egg users in the world, the Japanese company Kewpie Corporation, to extend its cage-free commitment to Asia.
END CAGES EVERYWHERE [[link removed]]
Why? Because Kewpie uses 10% of all eggs produced in Japan to create its signature mayonnaise. (Read that again. One-tenth of all the eggs in the entire country.)
The good news is, Kewpie has already made progress toward ending cages in the US and EU. Now, we’re encouraging Kewpie to take the next step—and end cages around the entire globe.
If we can successfully cheer on Kewpie to further its existing commitment to ending the use of caged eggs, we’ll change the lives of millions of hens. Can I count on you to take action?

Over 68% of the world’s egg-laying hens are living in Asia. The majority are in cages so small and crowded, they’ll never stretch out their wings, raise their heads, or have a moment of true rest.
But you can help them. Last year, supporters like you successfully garnered a global cage-free commitment from Jollibee Foods Corporation, the largest restaurant group in all of Asia and owner of Smashburger and Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf—resulting in life-changing progress for over two million hens.
Around the globe, billions of people can agree: We all want to live in a world where animals are treated with kindness. Compassion can’t be confined by borders. So, wherever you are in the world, will you take a moment to add your voice for compassion today?

P.S. This campaign goes beyond Kewpie. A victory from this one company would have ripple effects across the entire food industry in Asia. Will you help flood Kewpie with messages today? [[link removed]]
P.P.S. The multinational supermarket company Ahold Delhaize—which owns Hannaford—also needs to hear from you. Will you take action on social media to let them know animal abuse is unacceptable? [[link removed]]
