I just wanted to take a minute to recognize Pride Month. Pride Month to me is the acknowledgment of the struggle from the LGBTQIA+ community for their liberty in the USA.

Liberty is at the forefront of this great American experiment, a grand melting pot of people, religions, ethnicities, languages, cultures, and ideas. To have liberty, you must have the freedom to explore who you are and embrace the person you discover in that exploration.

That's the beauty of America: we have created a society that allows you that exploration.

Pride Month is an acknowledgment of the struggle of the LGBTQIA+ community to find who they really are and to gain society's acknowledgment of their true selves.

In America, we must remember that not all people will be the same, nor should we expect them to be. We must encourage and embrace individuals and their unique contributions to the United States, celebrating the differences that contribute to a truly great nation.
