Hi John,

The WA Democratic Party denied me access to their voter contact software and voter file months ago. This means we need to spend $2,500 to buy phone numbers. Each number costs $0.01. Can you donate $7 and buy us 700 phone numbers?

One of the benefits of being an entrenched, corporate incumbent like Derek Kilmer is that the state party gives you their resources, including updated phone numbers to reach voters and the software to call them.

We had to spend $6,800 to get alternate software. Now we need to spend $2,500 to buy updated phone numbers, because we don’t know when we’ll be able to canvass again and we need to talk to tens of thousands of voters to win this race.

When you give $7, you’ll be buying 700 phone numbers for us. Can you give $7 now?

This is a difficult time for a lot of people, and I’m only asking for money because — until we overturn Citizens United and enact public financing of elections — I need to to win. And by winning, we progressives have a shot at changing the system that’s making life miserable for so many Americans right now.

If you can give, thank you so much. Here’s the link:
