Friend – It's Primary Election Day in D.C., and it's also time to nominate members to the ACLU-D.C. Board of Directors. Here's what you need to know today. Vote Your Values Today in the Primary ElectionDistrict residents, including non-U.S. citizens for the local elections, can vote and register to vote on-the-spot if needed today. June 4. Voting centers are open 7 a.m. – 8 p.m., and you can vote at any center, regardless of your address. If you got your ballot in the mail, you can drop it off at any dropbox by 8 p.m. Please note: These links will take you to a third-party site, dcboe.org. Check out our voter guide for everything you need to know to vote, including candidate positions on issues related to civil rights and liberties. Board of Directors Nominations due July 12Board members serve 3-year terms and are responsible for governance, fiscal stability, and attendance at six meetings each year. The Board's Nominating Committee will make their nominations for the eight Board seats up for election by June 7. If you are a member in good standing, you can nominate yourself or someone else (who is also a member in good standing) by July 12.
