Hey team! Did you see Adam's message yesterday?
After thousands of you stepped up to help us raise over $150,000 for three critical charities providing relief to families and individuals impacted by the coronavirus, two anonymous donors let us know they were inspired to give $50,000.
Now, we're trying to match that $50,000, and we're officially halfway there!
Will you help us hit our goal today by pitching in $10 or more to Project Angel Food, Los Angeles Regional Food Bank, and United Way of Greater Los Angeles now? [[link removed]]

Dear friend,

Two weeks ago, I asked If you would join me in helping to provide food and basic necessities for those in our community most impacted by the coronavirus pandemic.

And boy, did you ever. You helped raise over $150,000 for three great organizations, and as a result, provided tens of thousands of meals for families and individuals in need. I have never been so proud and grateful for my generous supporters. It means so much to know that I can count on you to help when my city needs it most.

To say that your donations have had an impact would be an understatement. Not only did you provide essential food and services for so many, but your kindness was also an inspiration for others. Last week, two anonymous donors reached out to let our campaign know that because of your generosity, they were going to donate $50,000 to Project Angel Food.

Project Angel Food truly does the work of angels. They prepare and deliver healthy meals to people impacted by serious illness and compromised immune systems — exactly the sort of people at greatest risk from coronavirus. To help meet the demand, they’ve just hired five newly-unemployed LA chefs who are working round the clock to provide enough shelf-stable and frozen meals for their clients in the face of this emergency.

They're urgently seeking more funding to be able to continue the essential work that they’re doing for so many in our community. They could use your help again, as could the two other great organizations you’ve helped us support: the LA Regional Food Bank and the United Way of Greater Los Angeles.

The LA Regional Food Bank is currently striving to meet an unheard-of spike in demand. Nearly three million Californians have filed for unemployment since the coronavirus crisis started, and the challenges faced by my fellow Angelenos have never been greater. The United Way LA is serving our most vulnerable populations: unhoused residents living on the streets who need access to care, and workers like street vendors, domestic workers and day laborers who have nowhere else to turn.

These great organizations have seen the need, and answered the call. And now, they need your help more than ever.

Now that you’ve inspired others, we’d like to ask you to help us keep the generosity going:

Will you join us in giving $10 or more to support the critical work that Project Angel Food, the LA Regional Food Bank and the United Way of Greater Los Angeles are doing to provide critical relief to those most in need, and help us match this generous $50,000 gift?

If you've saved your payment information with ActBlue Express, your donation will go through immediately:

I know this isn't an easy time for anyone, but the spirit of our community is what is going to get us through it. I'll continue looking for more ways for you to get involved and help those who need it most in the coming weeks and months.

Thanks for all you do,

Adam
