President Trump thinks the rules don't apply to him. He just proved that once again.

Congress recently authorized a $2 trillion stimulus package through the bipartisan CARES Act. The goal of the law is to put money directly into the pockets of American families and businesses to alleviate the economic impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic.

This is a huge amount of money, so Democrats in Congress worked hard to ensure strong and transparent oversight of how it was spent. But from the very beginning, President Trump threatened to ignore these measures. This week he took it one step further by removing the Inspector General who was selected to oversee this stimulus spending.

American taxpayers deserve to know how this $2 trillion in federal funds is being spent. Do you agree?

In plain sight, Trump is working overtime to minimize oversight and prevent honest, independent public servants from doing their jobs. I'm not going to let him get away with that.
