The City of Auburn's "Grab 'N Go" meal program is a perfect example. Over the past 4 weeks, the team at the Auburn Recreation Department, along with other members of City staff and some wonderful community volunteers have worked tirelessly on this twice-weekly feeding program that has provided approximately 3,700 meals to nearly 1,800 adults & children in Auburn.
To say that this program has filled a need in our community during an uncertain time is an understatement. We are grateful to serve a community that supports each other in this way. Never doubt the impact of generosity and compassion.
“Just want y'all to know how grateful we are for your help during this time. Thank you so much. It helps tremendously. Without your help we would be starving.” ~GNG Participant

Auburn Mayor Jason J. Levesque & Lewiston Mayor Mark A. Cayer had the privilege to partner with our friends at Healthy Androscoggin, CMMC and with religious leaders within our local African community to create a series of videos, presented in native languages, to share information about how to stay safe and avoid COVID-19. The videos are available on our Resource Hub:
