John,
Last week, President Biden laid out a roadmap to secure an immediate ceasefire, the release of hostages, and humanitarian relief for the people of Gaza.
This is encouraging news. But a roadmap is not an agreement — and we’re already seeing signs that Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is prepared to reject the proposed deal and continue with his campaign of wanton destruction.
President Biden must use every tool at his disposal to push all parties towards an agreement, including halting the shipment of additional offensive weapons to the Israeli military.
Join our virtual phone bank this Wednesday, June 5th at 12:00 PM to help reach WFP members across the country and ask them to call the White House to demand the Biden administration maintain its own red line and cease weapons shipments to the Israeli military.
We need to use our voices to urge Biden to use his full leverage to force Netanyahu to accept the ceasefire deal.

As President Biden pursues this pathway to peace, the indiscriminate bombing of Palestinians is still ongoing. Our government must do everything in its power to not only secure a lasting peace, but to stop the death and destruction right now.
More than 1,200 Israelis and 35,000 Palestinians have been killed since October 7th, and millions more in Gaza are enduring displacement and famine. If the Israeli government continues its invasion of Rafah, the last refuge for Palestinians fleeing for their lives, the death toll will rise catastrophically.
Our government can help to forge a lasting peace, but only if it shows unwavering resolve. Join us this Wednesday, June 5th at 12:00 PM to encourage President Biden to keep his word and not provide another penny — in weapons or military aid — for Netanyahu’s war crimes.
