BoE: Bottom of Email

Dear John,

I have been thinking about gratitude recently...and Ben Franklin. I am grateful for many things, but I am especially grateful for the educators across America who are working so hard to help their students right now. Educators both in the BRI network and outside. It is incredible.

We have all ** seen ([link removed])
** countless ([link removed])
** stories ([link removed])
** in ([link removed])
** the ([link removed])
** news ([link removed])
, but we want to see more. We want to see you and what you see. So the Bill of Rights Institute has started a small contest called ** #BRIThankATeacher, ([link removed])
to try and collect all these stories of teachers doing amazing things right now.

I am reminded of a quote from one of Ben Franklin's letters:

"When I am employed in serving others, I do not look upon myself as conferring favors, but as paying debts...I have received much kindness from men to whom I shall never have an opportunity of making the least direct returns...Those kindnesses from men I can, therefore, only return on their fellow-men, and I can only show my gratitude for those mercies from God by a readiness to help His other children.”
** Ben Franklin, Letter to George Whitefield, 1753 ([link removed])

We are all indebted to the work you are doing...help us show gratitude with #BRIThankaTeacher on ** Facebook ([link removed])
, ** Instagram ([link removed])
, or ** Twitter ([link removed])

Warmest wishes to you, and yours,
