The Notebook Producer's Picks Gerald Schoenfeld Theatre Adapted from Nicholas Sparks’ best-selling novel, The Notebook tells the story of Allie, played by Maryann Plunkett (The Crucible), Joy Woods (SIX: The Musical) and Jordan Tyson (The Chair), and Noah, played by Dorian Harewood (Don’t Call Back), Ryan Vasquez (Waitress) and John Cardoza (Jagged Little Pill). Featuring an original score by singer-songwriter Ingrid Michaelson, a book by Bekah Brunstetter (American Gods), and choreography by Katie Spelman (Moulin Rouge!), The Notebook is a story about two people who share a lifetime of love despite the forces that threaten to pull them apart.
Stereophonic Producer's Picks John Golden Theatre Stereophonic mines the agony and the ecstasy of creation as it zooms in on a music studio in 1976. An up-and-coming rock band recording a new album finds itself suddenly on the cusp of superstardom, and the ensuing pressures could spark their breakup—or their breakthrough. Featuring performances by Tony nominees Will Brill (Oklahoma!), Juliana Canfield (Succession), Eli Gelb (The Newsroom), Tom Pecinka (American Rust) and Sarah Pidgeon (The Wilds), with a book by David Adjmi (Marie Antoinette), an original score by Will Butler (Arcade Fire) and direction by Daniel Aukin (Fool for Love), Stereophonic is nominated for 13 Tony Awards.
The Who's Tommy Producer's Picks Nederlander Theatre In 1969, The Who created a rock opera that changed the course of music history. After witnessing an act of violence, young Tommy Walker—played by Ali Louis Bourzgui, making his Broadway debut—goes into a state of shock, spending his time endlessly and obsessively staring into the mirror. An innate knack for pinball catapults him from reticent adolescent to celebrity savior. Myth and spectacle combine in a fresh reinvention of The Who’s exhilarating 1969 rock concept album, Tommy, now Tony-nominated for Best Revival of a Musical.
