Happy Pride Month, John!

Over 40 years ago, more than three hundred people gathered for a Pride rally on the steps of Connecticut's Old State House, establishing an annual tradition of celebration, bravery and visibility in our state for years to come.  

Your Democratic leaders continue to advocate for the LGBTQ+ community in the face of MAGA radicals who seek to take away these fundamental rights.

It’s our priority as Democrats and at the LGBTQ+ Caucus to ensure that our LGBTQ+ community is seen and heard. We actively:

• Monitor any policies or laws that could impact LGBTQ+ rights (positively or negatively).
• Encourage early voter registration and civic participation to ensure the unique and diverse voices of LGBTQ+ Connecticuters are heard.
• Increase visibility of LGBTQ+ specific issues (on state and national levels) during our monthly LGBTQ+ Caucus meetings (I encourage you to sign up and join us!).
• Advocate for Democratic leaders who represent and fight for our values and protect our civil rights.

Even though MAGA politicians continue to pour funding into anti-LGBTQ+ campaigns, you and I are making a difference. With your support, we can continue to protect, advocate and fight for our LGBTQ+ community.
