Hey there,
June is LGBTQIA+ Pride Month! 🏳️🌈 Celebrated in honor of the 1969 Stonewall Uprising, where trans and queer people fought back against police brutality. Pride remains a symbol of resistance and resilience today.
Right now, we’re standing face-to-face with bad actors who have been destroying our future for far too long. It’s time we take the trash out and reclaim our future! 👏
Let’s step into Pride Month together by speaking our minds about the issues that continue to impact us today, especially our queer and trans siblings. From Drag Show bans across the country to curriculum censorship in schools and bills that restrict affirming health care for trans youth, we’re tired of out-of-touch public officials dictating our future.
Can you join me at the LGBTQIA+ Pop Divas Text Bank on Thursday, June 6 at 6:30 pm CT/ 7:30 pm ET to shake things up?

Every Thursday, we’ll be texting young people in our communities about the issues most important to us. The future belongs to us, so let’s make sure our voices are at the center of each decision that’ll impact the next 10, 20, or even 50 years of our lives.
Here’s how it works:
-
You RSVP to one of our themed text banks taking place this summer. Find the full list here. (When you sign up, make sure you share your queer anthem with us, so we can add it to our playlist! )
-
Come as you are — just bring your laptop or tablet, and maybe a friend. We’ll provide a brief training at the beginning of each of our text banks & help you set up an account on our texting platform.
-
Reach out to young people on our list! You’ll be able to chat with peers in states like Arizona, Texas, and Colorado about the issues that impact their day-to-day lives. When we speak our minds about what we care about, we’re encouraged to take action to make change happen.
That’s it! So, will I see you at our LGBTQ+ Pop Divas Text Bank on Thursday, June 6 at 6:30 pm CT/ 7:30 pm ET?
In unity,
Alex and the rest of the United We Dream team
