Samuel --
When I stepped onto the stage at the Democratic National Convention
in 2004 to give the keynote address, I was confident and anxious -- all
at the same time. I'd given speeches before, but before I got asked to
come to Boston, I'd never even used a teleprompter.
But when I stood in that arena full of proud, passionate Democrats and
said that Republicans are our brothers and sisters -- that the politics of
hope is more powerful than politics as usual -- and I heard the cheers
and felt the electricity, I knew it was a moment in my life I would never
forget.
That's what it feels like to be at a Democratic convention.
In just a few weeks we will meet in Philadelphia for another exciting and
historic convention, and I couldn't be prouder of the fact that we will be
nominating Hillary Clinton to be our party's nominee.
Would you like to be there, too? And would you like to meet Hillary? Pitch
in $3 or more to be automatically entered for a chance to win a free flight,
hotel, and credentials to the convention:

It's hard to believe that it was only twelve years ago that I gave that speech.
The journey we have taken together as a nation since then has been
extraordinary. From reviving the auto industry to reining in Wall Street, from
guaranteeing health care for 20 million people to restoring our standing
around the world, we have achieved so much together. And there's more
work to do.
While so much has changed, I believe in the promise of America as much
today as I did in 2004. I believe in it just as I did in 2008, when at that
Democratic convention, I spoke to the American people as our party's
nominee -- I still believe, just like I said that night, that we cannot walk alone.
There is something magical about a Democratic convention, and the chance
to affirm our values as Democrats, as Americans, and as each other's
keepers. I can't wait for this one.
Chip in to be automatically entered for a chance to win a free trip to
Philadelphia to attend the historic 2016 Democratic National Convention and
meet Hillary:
