Join the Georgia For All - Rent Stabilization Coalition for a public forum on the fight for rent control and tenant rights in the peach state! 🍑
People from all over Georgia will be in attendance as tenant unions from Savannah, Albany, & metro-Atlanta are coming together to educate, strategize, & mobilize. The event is open to ALL & not limited to tenant associations, but instead aimed at anyone who pays rent. (Just about ALL of us!)
The forum will take place at In His Image Church 630 Kurt Dr SW, Marietta, GA from 10AM-2PM & will include lunch. Childcare and Spanish translation is provided.

🏥 Volunteer as an Abortion Clinic Escort! 🏥

Want to get more involved in local reproductive justice work? Feminist Women's Health Center needs clinic escorts! Escorts usher abortion patients past anti-choice protestors on to clinic property, ensuring a sense of safety in the face of insults, harassment, and misinformation. Shifts run on Tuesday, Friday, and Saturday mornings.
If you're interested in volunteering, please fill out one of these two forms (1, 2) depending on what date you'd like to attend training, and this form to indicate your specific interest in escorting. Next, email Atlanta DSA member Caroline Todd at [email protected], who will connect you with FWHC's volunteer coordinator to speed up the vetting process! The next two trainings will take place on in person June 11 and June 24 at 6:30 p.m. at the clinic at 1924 Cliff Valley Way NE.

✊ Free Leonard Peltier! ✊

American Indian Movement activist and elder Leonard Peltier, a citizen of the Turtle Mountain Band of Chippewa Indians, is one of the longest-held political prisoners in United States history. 2024 marks 49 years of his imprisonment for the alleged murder of two FBI agents, despite a flawed prosecution, trial, and conviction recognized by human rights organizations such as the United Nations, Amnesty International, and Human Rights Watch.
Now 79, Leonard is in increasingly poor health due to chronic conditions compounded by his unjust incarceration. This June 10th, Leonard will have what could be his final parole hearing, his last chance to be granted the freedom he’s deserved for 49 years!
