Join us for one or more of the four upcoming “Lunch and Learn” webinars hosted

During these 30-minute webinars, you’ll hear directly from Iowa farmers about
how they’re incorporating regenerative agriculture practices into their
operations to build soil health, help clean up Iowa’s lakes and rivers, produce
nutrient-dense food—all while fighting global warming.

When: Thursday, April 16, 12:30 p.m. – 1 p.m. CST
Description: Join the Iowa Farmers Union’s (IFU) webinar series kick-off! Regenerative
farmer Francis Thicke will walk you through regenerative agriculture practices
and how they can have a positive impact on your farming operation and on climate
change.

What: Farm Solutions: No Till & Cover Crops
When: Wednesday, April 29, 2:30 p.m. – 1 p.m. CST
Description: Join IFU and Ray Gaesser for a look at how your cover crop and no-till
practices can impact soil health, the environment and climate change for the
better. Gaesser is an Iowa farmer and local advocate for cover crops and
sustainable agriculture.

What: Diversifying for on Farm Success
When: Thursday, May 14, 12:30 p.m. – 1 p.m. CST
Description: For John Gilbert, on farm diversification efforts are the key to success. Join
IFU as Gilbert reflects on the history of diversification on his Hardin County
operation. The Gilbert family operates the county’s last dairy, and have been
selling their pigs to Niman Ranch since 1998.

What: Returning Livestock to Pasture
When: Thursday, May 28, 12:30 p.m. – 1 p.m. CST
Description: Join IFU as we wrap up our series of Regenerative Agriculture “Lunch and
Learns.” Seth Watkins will outline how to successfully integrate livestock into
regenerative agriculture practices on your operation. Watkins is a row crop and
cow-calf livestock farmer from Clarinda, Iowa.
