Happy Immigrant Heritage Month, John!
This month is always one of our favorites! While we celebrate the incredible accomplishments of New Americans every day, this month gives us the chance to take things to the next level.
This year, as we celebrate 14 years of our democracy strengthening work and our movement, we have one ask: Help us make this Immigrant Heritage Month one to remember!
Here’s how ⬇️
Reconnect, Reunite, and Celebrate: New American Hero Awards
Join the festivities at our 10th annual New American Hero Awards [[link removed]] in Washington, D.C.! On the evening of Thursday, June 27, we’ll convene at the Martin Luther King Jr. Memorial Library to celebrate three exceptional immigrant leaders who are making a difference in our communities. Our Movement Continues to Grow: Ready to Lead ® Trainings
We have already hosted four Ready to Lead® trainings so far this year, welcoming 135 new alumni into our network! The best news? We’re still going strong! These trainings equip emerging immigrant leaders with the skills and knowledge to run for office and lead their communities effectively. All of you are a testament to the power of immigrant leadership, and we are so inspired by all of you!

Looking Ahead: Ready to Win ® and AAPI Community Training
This June, we also look forward to meeting all our 2024 Ready to Win® participants in person as we gather in Washington, DC! This program supports New Americans looking to run for office or manage campaigns in the next two years.
We are also thrilled to bring our Ready to Lead® [[link removed]] training to North Carolina! This training was created by and for AAPI New Americans in mind, building off of our signature Ready to Lead® program to not only help close the representation gap but also address anti-Asian hate, misogyny, and discrimination. Be sure to RSVP to our upcoming Info Session [[link removed]] on Tuesday, June 11th and get your questions answered!

Make Your Voice Heard: Share Your New American Story
We know that your stories and experiences hold incredible power; we want to hear them! Post a video, photo, or thread on social media (don’t forget to tag us @NewAmericanLd!) to share your experience as a New American, leader, and community advocate. You can help change the narrative and flex our growing political power to create a more inclusive future and democracy for us all.
Thank you for being a part of our journey. Together, we can celebrate the rich heritage and invaluable contributions of immigrants across the nation while we build a brighter, more inclusive future for all.
With gratitude,
Ghida Dagher
