Celebrating Continued Support for Georgia's First National Park and Preserve

I appreciate the Georgia Department of Natural Resources (GADNR) support for the bipartisan H.R. 8182, the Ocmulgee Mounds Park and Preserve Act, which I and Rep. Sanford Bishop recently introduced in the House.

Preserving hunting and fishing rights was a key priority in this legislation so that the Park and Preserve can be enjoyed by generations of Georgians to come.

GADNR recently sent us a letter of support for H.R. 8182, highlighting their support of the language expanding hunting and fishing opportunities in the bill.

This legislation is a bipartisan and bicameral effort, with Senators Ossoff and Warnock sponsoring this effort in the Senate. Support from organizations like GADNR is crucial in making this vision a reality for all Georgians.

We will continue working together to establish Georgia's first National Park and Preserve to ensure that future generations enjoy its natural beauty and explore its rich culture.

Holding the ICC Accountable

Recently, the International Criminal Court (ICC) made the choice to issue warrants for our allies in Israel, including Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu.

The ICC is an illegitimate court, and Israel has a right to defend themselves against Hamas terrorists.

I cosponsored H.R. 8282, the Illegitimate Court Counteraction Act, to impose sanctions on ICC officials who seek to go after U.S. citizens or allies, including Israel.

They have no right to persecute the only democracy in the Middle East as they fight the terrorists who attack them. As a member of the House Armed Services and House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence, I am working to ensure that the U.S. supports our ally Israel.
