Happy Pride Month, john!

June is a month to celebrate and uplift our friends, family, and neighbors in the LGBTQ+ community.

Although we’ve achieved some big wins for the LGBTQ+ community over the last few years, including the passage of the Respect for Marriage Act, we still have a LOT of progress to make.

Across the country, politicians are trying to rip away these rights and discriminate against the LGBTQ+ community. From legislation barring transgender youth from being who they are authentically to regulations on what books can be taught in schools, right-wing legislators are harshly targeting LGBTQ+ youth — who are often already facing discrimination and marginalization and should be uplifted, not harmed, by politicians.

That’s why I am fiercely advocating for legislation to protect the rights and freedoms of the LGBTQ+ community, including the Equality Act, which would prohibit discrimination based on sexual orientation and gender identity.

john, as we kick off LGBTQ+ Pride Month, please add your name alongside mine in support of the Equality Act and other efforts to protect the rights of the LGBTQ+ community.

Now more than ever, we need to speak out on behalf of the LGBTQ+ community and defend their right to love who they love and be who they are without hate or harm.
