Dear John, Thank you for your continued support and interest in our mission. As someone deeply concerned about refugees and displaced people, I want to share a pressing issue that is exacerbating their already challenging circumstances: the escalating climate crisis. Imagine this: 🔥 Scorching heatwaves with no end in sight 💧 Prolonged droughts draining vital water sources 🌀 Violent storms tearing through makeshift shelters 🌊 Floods sweeping away livestock and livelihoods. These climate-related disasters are pushing refugees into even more vulnerable situations, testing their resilience beyond measure. In the East and Horn of Africa, countries like Somalia, South Sudan, Ethiopia, and Kenya are facing catastrophic drought, significant flooding, water scarcity, hunger, insecurity, and conflict. For instance, over one million Somalis have been displaced since the drought began, devastating their livelihoods dependent on livestock and crops.
