FL-27 Newsletter
Vol. 118, Issue #66
Dear Friends/Amigos,

Hurricane season kicked off yesterday, and this year, the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) predicted an above-normal season. My office has compiled an extensive list of resources for you and your family to consult both in preparation for hurricane season, and for any potential damage that may occur afterwards. Check out those resources here!

It is a pleasure to serve our community in Congress. If you have a question or concern about any legislation coming up, feel free to let my office know by calling (202) 225-3931.

Sincerely/Atentamente,

María E. Salazar
U.S. Representative (FL-27)
ATTENDING PRESIDENT NAYIB BUKELE'S INAUGURATION IN EL SALVADOR!
In the last several days, I had the enormous privilege to travel to El Salvador to witness President Nayib Bukele's second inauguration.

As the representative for our Miami community in Congress, I offered my most sincere congratulations to President Bukele for earning the trust of his people once again after successfully crushing the threat of gang violence in his country.

I look forward to working with him closely from the Western Hemisphere Subcommittee on the House Foreign Affairs Committee.

¡Felicidades, Presidente Bukele!
DELIVERING RESULTS FOR MIAMI MOTHERS!
Maternal health is an often-overlooked aspect of our healthcare system that affects the lives of millions of women and the children they bring into this world. There is a critical need to improve outcomes for pregnant and postpartum women and their newborns, and we have legislation that will do just that.

I am proud to have joined a bipartisan group of Congresswoman to reintroduce the Connected Maternal Online Monitoring (MOM) Act. Specifically, the legislation will make it easier for physicians to monitor their patients remotely for life-threatening complications.

With this legislation, we will help save the lives of countless pregnant women and their children!
CASEWORK TESTIMONIALS!

Whether it’s navigating the difficult immigration bureaucracy, securing Social Security benefits, or getting your passports renewed on time before a family vacation, my staff is always willing to help my constituents solve their toughest challenges!
