Hi John,

We’re thrilled to introduce you to the next group of climate champions we’re supporting this year. These candidates are ready to lead the charge in protecting Colorado’s natural beauty and tackling the climate crisis head-on.

Colorado is well known as the home of a wide variety of natural wonders. Unfortunately, the fossil fuel industry and other corporate polluters seem to always prioritize their profits over protecting the natural resources we hold dear.

But the issue is bigger than protecting pristine views and natural wonders. The deadly byproducts of fossil fuel extraction, transmission, and storage pose a direct threat to communities across the state, communities that have too long been ignored by their elected officials. Fracking, oil and gas pipelines, and poorly regulated utility giants consistently pollute the air and water communities depend on, in addition to the broader impacts of our changing climate, like wildfires, drought, and flooding.

The good news is that this year, Coloradans have a chance to elect some climate champions in key positions who are ready to roll up their sleeves and get to work. Here are the incredible candidates we’re endorsing:

Elliott Hood for CU Regent At-Large
Elliott is a passionate advocate for climate action and sustainability. As an environmental scientist and educator, he has consistently demonstrated his commitment to protecting our planet. Elliott’s vision includes implementing sustainable practices across all CU campuses, promoting climate-focused research, and implementing policies that reduce the university’s carbon footprint.

Kyra deGruy Kennedy for State House District 30
Kyra understands that climate change is the most pressing issue we face. She has a proven track record of working on legislation that funds clean energy projects, wildfire mitigation, and watershed protection. Kyra is dedicated to addressing historic inequities caused by climate change, investing in sustainable infrastructure, and transitioning Colorado off fossil fuels in a safe and just way. .

Junie Joseph for State House District 10
Junie has been a tireless advocate for climate action and environmental justice in the Colorado State Legislature. She has promoted renewable energy initiatives, supported sustainable transportation solutions, and worked on legislation that protects Colorado's natural resources. Junie's leadership is essential for continuing the fight against climate change and ensuring a just transition to a sustainable future.

You’ll hear more from us about each of these candidates between now and their June 25 Primary Election. In the meantime, will you help us boost their campaigns by splitting a contribution today?

Thank you for standing with us in this crucial fight for our planet’s future.

With gratitude,

The Jane PAC Team
