Join us to protect civil liberties during the COVID-19 crisis.
ACLU supporter –
I hope that your family and your community are healthy and safe during this time.
We are working to ensure that the burdens of the COVID-19 outbreak and the government's actions do not fall unfairly on people of color, immigrants, unhoused people, and essential workers, among others.
Although we cannot come together physically to take action right now, it is more important than ever before that we join together in the community and continue to organize and build power digitally. <[link removed]>
Please join us for a virtual town hall to discuss the ACLU's work during the COVID-19 crisis. We will provide space for you to connect with other activists about the most pressing issues in our communities and provide opportunities for you to take meaningful action to protect civil liberties and civil rights throughout our state.
ACLU-NC Town Hall: COVID-19
Take action to protect our communities.
Tuesday, April 21, 5:30 p.m. PDT
RSVP Today <[link removed]>
During the virtual town hall, we will share an overview of the steps that our staff in San Francisco, Fresno, and Sacramento have been taking to reduce incarceration and immigration detention and to help protect access to stable housing. We will provide you with an opportunity to get involved in holding your elected local Sheriff accountable as they are subjecting people to an increased risk of contracting COVID-19, especially as we read news from across the country that people of color are dramatically and disproportionately impacted by COVID-19.
We will also want to hear from you about the most pressing civil liberties issues in your counties, and how we can all come together to push for justice.
Sign up today! <[link removed]> We look forward to connecting with you online, and we appreciate your ongoing support and comradery during this time.
