This week the media turned its full and undivided attention to the guilty verdict rendered by a Manhattan jury against former president Donald Trump.

Much was said about the historic nature of this verdict – and it was historic. That trial marked the first time in our nation’s history that a criminal president has been held accountable for his criminal conduct.

Very few in the media are talking about the criminal conduct of American presidents who illegally invaded other countries, illegally bombed civilians, or the current president who is funneling billions in weapons to a war criminal to carry out a genocide.

But that’s beginning to change.

On Wednesday, Ed O’Keefe, the Senior White House and political correspondent for CBS News, posed a striking question to National Security Council spokesperson John Kirby. Watch:

O’Keefe apparently struck a nerve. Because two days later – and eight months too late – Biden outlined his three-point plan to end what he calls “the war in Gaza” in a televised address.

Biden’s plan hinges on concessions by Hamas in a ceasefire agreement that Hamas already accepted almost a month ago – and which Israel explicitly rejected.

Yet the president offered no plan for getting Israel to comply with this agreement, no conditions on continuing military aid, no real threat of withdrawal of U.S. support for Israel’s ongoing genocide.

Instead of lobbing more empty threats, we must double down to remove the American war criminals from power as soon as humanly possible. That’s what this campaign is about.

While Palestinians are in a fight for their lives, our nation is in a fight for its soul. Right now, both are losing. Our campaign is the ONLY one that will be on the ballot across the country this November fighting for people, planet, and peace.
