There is a fundamental choice in this election: an incumbent who sows division, or a candidate who can restore unity in this country.

I will always support unity over division, and I'm proud to continue to campaign to elect Joe Biden, even right now from the confines of my home here in South Bend.

Joe and I both believe that as Americans we are all part of something bigger than ourselves, that we are all on the same team, and that we are fighting for that same brighter future.

That is the true American spirit. As Joe says, "there's nothing we cannot accomplish when we stand together."

It's on full display in these stressful and uncertain times. We are seeing the very best of the American people as we work together to overcome a public health and economic crisis.

And while I know that right now it might feel tempting to disengage from politics, our nation's present situation is making it clearer than ever before how much it matters who is in the White House leading our country.
