It has been 48 hours since Donald Trump was convicted of 34 felonies, and if you thought the GOP would abandon him at this point, you’d be wrong. Every single DC Republican is sticking with him.
In fact, Speaker Mike Johnson immediately put out a statement calling on supporters to “stand with President Trump” and Marjorie Taylor Greene reacted by tweeting a picture of an American flag upside down.
John, this is what Trump has done to the Republican party. His cronies are willing to tear down our justice system to defend him. I’d argue they’re willing to tear down our democracy as well.
That is why it is so important that we win this toss-up seat and win back the House of Representatives. We cannot let them have control of Congress.
