Dear friend,

Today, just a week after the Texas GOP suggested the death penalty for abortion patients and doctors, a rogue MAGA Texas Supreme Court unanimously rejected Zurawski v. Texas -- a lawsuit involving over 20 women who were denied life-saving pregnancy healthcare -- making pregnancy more dangerous than ever before. 

Friend, this is a stark reminder that our freedoms are only protected when endorsed by extremist, out-of-touch Republicans with no understanding of the medical risks of pregnancy. 

They do not care that the deliberate vagueness of their abortion ban endangers Texans with life-threatening pregnancy complications.

They do not care about medical expertise. 

They do not care that this case’s plaintiffs were brought close to death due to this law’s negligence. 

They only care about controlling our bodies and our livelihoods.

Friend, today is a stark reminder that we need elected officials in both the state legislature and in Congress who are our first line of defense against these attacks on our right to access care. That’s why Texas Democrats are working to mobilize voters across the state -- but we can’t do it without your help. 

Will you chip in $10 -- or whatever you can afford -- to power our fight to elect Democrats who will defend Texans’ reproductive freedoms?

Make no mistake: today’s decision was an intentional step towards erasing even more of Texans’ freedoms. Together, we will stop them this November.
