Hey team,

We have an important fundraising deadline tonight at midnight, but I don’t want to ignore yesterday’s historic and unprecedented event: I want to be very clear, the verdict in New York further affirms that Donald Trump is completely unfit for public office — and that no one is above the law.

I'll have more to say on this in the coming days, but as our deadline approaches, we MUST stay focused.

Donald Trump may be a convicted felon, but he is still the Republican nominee for President. We have no choice but to beat him and every last one of his authoritarian enablers. That begins right here in NY-18 by winning the House majority.

Tonight’s end-of-month fundraising deadline is, without a doubt, our most important one yet this year. That’s because just a few days ago, House Republicans’ super PAC launched a gargantuan $21 million attack ad campaign smearing my record. They’re spending more to unseat me than they’re spending against any other House Democrat.

We knew all along that Republicans would spend an unbelievable amount of money to defeat me, so this wasn’t unexpected. But the numbers don’t lie — $21 million, in May is a huge wake-up call. And we know it’s just the beginning.

Hitting our May fundraising goal before tonight’s deadline would help us ensure we have some real grassroots momentum to build from after next week’s primary election, when I’ll have an official GOP opponent. That’s when Republicans will really start spending against me, so I need your help now:

Team, if you can, will you please chip in $10 or more before tonight’s 11:59 PM deadline to ensure we’ll have the resources we need to fight back against the millions of dollars being spent against me?

Incredibly, the election is only 158 days away. Every day matters towards hitting our goals and building the resources to win. You, and the thousands who have joined our team, are the backbone of my campaign. I can’t thank you enough for stepping up in important moments like this one.

Yours in service,

Pat
