A common saying I've always kept in mind is that "all politics is local." That's why Tom and I have been promising you all year that there's a new DNC in town that is investing in every community across this country. We're getting back to basics, and investing in the power of true grassroots organizing. It's taken a lot of work, but the ground game we all contributed to in Virginia and Alabama led us to victory. When we build power at the local level, we are unstoppable. The only way to defeat the Republicans is by building a national, people-powered movement prepared to take them on.
