Hello, Friends —
Yesterday’s verdict against President Trump is the corrupt result of a corrupt trial, a corrupt judge, and a corrupt District Attorney. Justice Juan Merchan has belied any sense of the law while making six-figures off of the corrupt persecution of a Former President. No other person in the country would have ever been charged with these made up crimes!
As long as the leader of our movement remains under attack, I will continue to fight and speak out against this weaponization of the law. I will stand with President Trump now more than ever to save the country!

REP. GAETZ CONTINUES TO SUPPORT NORTHWEST FLORIDA’S MILITARY COMMUNITIES
While the House of Representatives was out of session this week, I was back home in Northwest Florida and had the opportunity to discuss my continued efforts to support our military communities. I am proud to have secured funding for our service members in this year’s National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) that passed the House Armed Services Committee last week, adding to the more than $800 million already invested to our military mission during my time in Congress. If these new resources are included in the final NDAA legislation, they will go to construction projects at our military bases, including $98 million for a state-of-the-art helicopter hangar at Naval Air Station Whiting Field and $42 million for maximizing capabilities throughout the Eastern Gulf Test & Training Range.
Moreover, many of you have brought the current lack of childcare services available for the children of military parents to my attention. Our military families in Northwest Florida simply deserve more options. Not only do we lack a physical capacity for childcare centers, but we are undergoing a severe shortage of childcare staff. Getting bureaucratic red tape out of the way will bring more providers in, allow more construction to increase capacity, and nurture the workforce to staff childcare centers.
The building of the Higher Ground child development center in Crestview represents progress in providing more childcare options, but this is only the first step. I will always stand on the side of providing more support to the families of those who have served our country the most.

TEAM GAETZ HOSTS VISIT FROM BRITISH CONSUL GENERAL
My office was honored to host Rufus Drabble, the British Consul General in Miami, Florida. Mr. Drabble traveled to Northwest Florida in order to meet with the British military members serving at Eglin Air Force Base and look for economic-development activities to further his understanding of our part of Florida.
We made sure Mr. Drabble understood the importance of the Florida panhandle and the breadth of opportunities that it offers. Although this was his first visit, we are sure it won’t be his last!
TEAM GAETZ ATTENDS TRUST FOR PUBLIC LAND’S CONSERVATION CELEBRATION PADDLE ON BLACKWATER RIVER
On Thursday, my staff had the pleasure of joining the Trust for Public Land’s Conservation Celebration Paddle on the Blackwater River. This event was a great opportunity to showcase the work that has been done between governmental agencies and conservation groups to preserve land in Northwest Florida so that generations are able to access it and enjoy its beauty.
I would also like to thank Adventure’s Unlimited for hosting this event and for their years of creating a place for the public to come enjoy and appreciate nature!

GOP hawks, hardliners split after Biden allows Ukraine to hit inside Russia
“Rep. Matt Gaetz (R-Fla.) said the Biden administration is ‘risking even further serious escalation, the consequences of which could be World War III.’ He has consistently voted against Ukraine aid. ‘The inconsistency within the Biden administration on this is alarming,’ Gaetz, a House Armed Services Committee member, said in a statement. ‘The U.S. policy has been that Ukraine cannot use U.S. weapons to strike targets in Russia. In the midst of this proxy war with Russia, this policy has been at least one reasonable attempt to limit escalation of hostilities.’”

New child care center for military families to be built in Crestview
“Congressman Matt Gaetz says the ‘Higher Ground’ child development center will be built in Crestview -- but a lot of red tape stands in the way of getting these child centers built and running... ‘There’s a lot of these issues with childcare that becomes sticky wicket,’ he said. ‘It’s the physical facility, but it’s also the manning, staffing. We had to change the laws in Florida so that we wouldn’t have more bureaucratic red tape when federal entities wanted to operate childcare facilities under federal law. But then there was a duplicative system at the state level. So I’m getting red tape out of the way that will bring more providers in getting more construction. And Crestview will create more capacity -- and then we’re gonna continue to nurture the workforce and we get a lot of that support our military spouses.’”
