Urgent Appeal: Mobilize for Democracy with Voter Registration Sundays
Time to strategically punchback!
We were all shocked to see the outcome from a jury in New York this week. It was not only an egregious assault on the integrity of our judicial system, but also a direct attack on the democratic process. Using the courts as a tool to thwart the people’s voice to choose who they wish to elect is a dangerous precedent that could plague our nation for many generations to come. This is why we at Pacific Justice Institute are pleased to have a critical opportunity to implement a major counteraction against this assault.
Through PJI’s Church Engagement Office, we’ve partnered with the campaign called The Church Finds Its Voice (CFIV). This camp
aign organizes churches to host voter registration Sundays, which have proven to be a success! In fact, in 2020, we were able to arrange for over 300 churches—for the first time ever—to hold voter registration Sundays. This resulted in 10,454 new voters having a decisive impact on 6 pivotal congressional races. Additionally, in 2022, we empowered 512 churches to conduct voter registration Sundays, resulting in over 15,000 new voters and impacting congressional races in California, Nevada, and Arizona! This election, our goal is to equip 1,000 churches to host such voter registration Sundays—targeting critical swing states across the country.
Church mobilization is by far the most efficient and successful approach—providing the biggest bang for the buck with the most reliable conservative voting group…those regularly attending Bible-believing churches.
The stakes are very high. The time we have is limited–the election is only months away.
