Yesterday, we all heard the verdict:
Donald Trump, guilty on 34 counts, proving that no one — not even a former president — is above the law.
But this is no time to celebrate. Before I explain why,

Since birth, Donald Trump has believed he’d never pay the consequences for anything, not even breaking the law. And his response to yesterday’s verdict was predictably unrepentant: “It’s a rigged trial.”
But in the same way the verdict didn’t change Trump’s version of “reality,” the verdict also doesn’t change this dangerous reality for the American people:
Donald Trump, convicted felon or not, will be on the ballot in November.
On November 5, Wisconsinites will have a clear choice: President Biden, who’s vowed to strengthen voting rights so voters get to decide who should lead our country. Or Trump, who will stoop to any means to overturn elections and seize power.
If Trump gets a second term, he will wreak havoc on democracy, stomp on our freedoms, and foment violence. So we need to get the message to every Wisconsin voter to reject MAGA extremism in November. And you can help.
