Dear Friend,

Supporting our law enforcement officers has never been more important.

Between the “defund the police” movement and the persistent ambush-style attacks on our officers, we all must do more to support the men and women in blue.

Recently, our office hosted a roundtable discussion with law enforcement leaders from across the Sixth District. More than a dozen law enforcement leaders attended, from St. Cloud to Chaska, from Ramsey to Howard Lake, and shared what’s working, what isn’t, and their ideas for solutions.

For me, it was an opportunity to listen, learn, and devise a plan of legislative action. I recently wrote an op-ed in the Delano Herald Journal breaking down our roundtable conversation and discussing the work we are doing in Congress to support our law enforcement officers.

While we have made good progress, there is still much more to be done to support the men and women who work hard to keep us safe. From additional funding for protective equipment and mental health resources to simply recognizing their important contributions to our communities, we all can make an effort to support our law enforcement officers.

Sincerely,
