The Lincoln Project

Friend,

For some reason, I just can't stop seeing the number 34 today... can't imagine why.

34 felonies. Sure, Trump finally won a popular vote. He also brought up the average number of felonies committed by American Presidents from 0 to close to 0.75, depending on your math, because it turns out that 34 felonies by the same dude are kind of a lot!

That's of course the big one. No one should hear the words Donald and Trump without the words Convicted and Felon before them. Don't listen to everyone who says this is not a Big Deal because friends, this is a Very Big Deal.

Even if you don't buy the polls that show huge chunks of the GOP electorate (33-34%) won't vote for him now or huge chunks of independents in swing states won't vote for him now (53-55%) – even if those huge chunks are 5-10%... Convicted Felon Donald Trump is totally toast. And don't think he doesn't know it. Did you see his press conference today? It was WILD. And I gotta say... Donnie looked tired as hell. He looked beat.

But back to the coincidental 34s. Convicted Felon Donald Trump raised $34 million last night, which is funny because 34 felonies but also funny because the vast majority of this money is going to be funneled into his legal defense fund. You're going to hear endless squawking from the usual array of MAGA chuds while the Trump campaign continues to pay an army of lawyers, Melania's hairdresser, and assorted other morons. The grift will never stop.

And I swear this is just a coincidence, but our average donation so far this year to The Lincoln Project also happens to be... $34. Yeah, we're not raising $34 million in a night, but every time someone throws us, on average, $34, we use that money to take the fight directly to Convicted Felon Donald Trump. We're targeting swing voters in Arizona and Wisconsin right now and we're going to go even bigger very soon.

If you've been part of that $34 at a time, thank you from all of us at the pirate ship. If you haven't yet... or if you're feeling inspired to drop a little more change into the "Make Sure Everyone Knows Convicted Felon Donald Trump Is A Convicted Felon and Is Going To Ban Abortion, Birth Control, and Destroy Our Democracy Fund," now's a great time to do it. We don't have $34 million in MAGA chud money, but we have you, and that's just how we want it >>

One last thing. Yeah, I saw that the Biden campaign isn't planning on going after Trump on his felonies. We'll see. But let me tell you – we sure as hell will. We are in the business of scratching and clawing for every single vote we can take off of Convicted Felon Donald Trump. We are going to go find the swing Republican voters (hint, they voted for Haley) and we are going to make sure they know the score here.

The stakes are so high as to push me to find a word besides "high" to use. Stratospheric. A convicted felon (bad) is going to ban abortion (also bad), get rid of birth control too (also bad), weaponize the government to go after his political enemies (also bad), hand Ukraine to Putin (also bad), and destroy Western democracy as we know it (also bad).

When you put it that way, the choice is pretty easy, right?

Thank you for keeping this crazy pirate ship we've got here going. We're going to win this with your help.
