Oklahoma,

I hope you all were able to take a moment on Memorial Day to remember and honor the men and women of our Armed Forces who gave their lives in service to our country. There is no more noble cause than risking your life to defend the people and the virtues that you hold most dear. It is a debt we can never repay.

Thursday was a very dark day in American history. The far-Left has unleashed a disgraceful, unprecedented assault on the leading Republican candidate for president. President Trump will fight this sham of a conviction, and the American people will have the ultimate word this November.

Thank you to Oklahoma representatives from the M-5 Energy Suppliers for their visit recently. Our energy producers in the state dedicate their livelihoods to providing abundant, affordable energy to our communities and for that I am grateful. The Biden administration certainly has not made it easy on them, and I am very appreciative of the work that they do.

Thank you to Laura Branch, President and CEO of NewView Oklahoma and Deborah Copeland, Executive Director of Dale Rogers Training Center for taking the time to meet. Together, their nonprofits support Oklahomans suffering from vision loss and those living with disabilities. I'm grateful for all they do to give back to their communities and appreciate the knowledge they've shared with me on their efforts to increase employment opportunities.

As you all know, communities across Oklahoma have suffered devastating storms this season. I want to once again thank our first responders, emergency managers, local law enforcement, and local officials for their leadership and quick responses. I have seen the Oklahoma Standard alive and well over the past couple of months, and I remain grateful for the way neighbors help out neighbors in our state.

For those in Barnsdall, a disaster recovery center at the Early Childhood Learning Center on 401 S. 10th St has opened to help those affected by the tornadoes. For additional details, please click here

Christie and I were devastated to learn that an Oklahoma-based missionary couple was tragically killed while serving in Haiti. The reality is, Haiti is NOT safe for American citizens to travel -- especially under a weak Biden administration that has a history of leaving Americans behind. Please join us in lifting up the Baker and Lloyd families in prayer. I joined Newsmax this week to discuss this tragedy. Watch here.

Great news. Both Bryan Hagerich of PA and Tyler Wenrich of VA have been released by the Turks and Caicos (TCI) government with time served and a fine and have returned home to their families. These sentencings are a step in the right direction, and I am hopeful they set a positive precedent for Oklahoma's own Ryan Watson and the other two Americans who remain detained. We will continue to fight to secure their release. In the meantime, I again encourage TCI to address the unintended consequences of their law to prevent this from happening again. I recently led a congressional delegation to Turks and Caicos to negotiate the release of these American citizens.
