It’s been less than 24 hours since Trump was convicted of 34 felonies and what comes next is coming into focus.
The first piece is that every single DC Republican is lining up in support of Trump. VP contenders are even cutting videos feigning outrage (if you have a second take a look at Tim Scott’s video…). It’s clear that even a felony conviction isn’t going to convince them he’s a danger to the country.
The second piece is the sentencing timeline is now clear. July 11th is the next big moment - when Justice Merchan will decide if Trump is going to jail or not.
The third piece is how the MAGA base has reacted. WinRed, the website Republicans raise money off of, literally broke down yesterday because so many MAGA supporters wanted to donate. The MAGA base is mad and activated.
So what does all this mean? This saga is not even close to over.
We cannot allow a convicted felon to become our next President of the United States and we definitely can’t give him a MAGA majority in the House of Representatives.
You are receiving this email because Congressman Josh Harder is one of our last lines of defense to protect our democracy against MAGA extremists like Donald Trump and Marjorie Taylor Greene.
