John, it's Hank Johnson, and I'm going to get right to the point:
Joe Biden couldn't have won in 2020 without the help of Georgia voters in our district, and we're going to have to do everything in our power to reject extremism and protect our democracy again this year.
Before I ask you to chip in today to help make that happen [[link removed]] , I want to explain two key reasons as to why all eyes are going to be on Georgia this election season:
After four years of Trump, Democrats across Congressional District 4 helped flip Georgia Blue to make sure we would have folks in office that would protect our institutions and represent the people they were elected to – so much so that Americans across the country attribute Joe Biden's win to us, and they're counting on Georgia doing it again.
But before Trump left office, he packed the court with partisan justices (let me remind you of the pro-insurrection flags Justice Alito flew at multiple personal residences and the undisclosed major gifts from people with business before the Court given to Justice Thomas) who are refusing accountability, undermining the integrity of the Court, and endangering democracy for millions of Americans.
That's why I'm leading the charge in Congress for Supreme Court Reform Now, and why it's so important for folks in District 4 to show up for this election: 1️⃣ so the judiciary can have a binding and enforceable code of conduct, and 2️⃣ so we don't have to worry about them overturning our elections.
