John, it's Lt. Governor Toland, and I'm here with a quick message about what this fight is all about – but before I get into my story, the Kansas Democrats have an urgent Deadline that they need your help with:
The Kansas Democrats' May End of Month Fundraising Deadline is at MIDNIGHT, and they're 48 individual donors away from their Goal.
Growing our Democratic coalition is the most effective way we can organize and break the supermajority. It’s time to elect more people-first, common-sense representatives throughout Kansas. John, will you pitch in today to become one of the [[link removed]] 48 [[link removed]] donors they need to reach their growth goal? [[link removed]]

During the legislative session, extreme politicians gave us all the reminders we needed about why breaking the legislative supermajorities is so important. In case you missed it, here are 3 big reasons:
1️⃣ They keep going back to bad policies of the Brownback days that harm our economy and the progress we’ve made – like the reckless flat tax
2️⃣ They undermined the will of the majority of Kansans who voted overwhelmingly in 2022 to protect the constitutional rights of women to make decisions about pregnancy, forcing through multiple extreme, anti-abortion bills
3️⃣ They're going directly after Kansans' rights – including access to voting, access to healthcare, and dictating to parents how to best raise and care for their own children.
Thanks to Governor Kelly, we blocked some of these divisive laws, but at the end of the day, Democratic leaders across Kansas can't break the supermajority alone – we need folks, like you, to join us.
John, building out our coalition is key to winning this fall. The Kansas Democrats are just 48 individuals shy of reaching their End of Month Fundraising Goal. Can you pitch in any amount today to join the cause and help support their work to make a difference in Kansas? [[link removed]]
