Join us Sunday, June 2, for a brief annual meeting followed by a program, “Raptor Senses and Abilities,” featuring live birds! We will gather informally starting at 2:30 PM in the cafeteria of the National Wildlife Federation Building, 11100 Wildlife Center Drive, in Reston. We welcome you to bring snacks and drinks to share. There also will be a silent auction table with a few items to bid on to support Birdathon. At 3:00 PM we’ll have a brief Annual Meeting where we will elect officers and directors. At 3:15 PM, Secret Garden Birds and Bees will share some of the amazing things they’ve learned about raptor adaptations – from their vision and hearing to their beaks and talons. And you will be able to meet their live hawks, owls, and a tiny falcon to see some of these adaptations up close. You might even get to take a selfie! All are welcome! FREE.
