Exciting FNUSA Recommendations Included in New T Visa Regulation
As part of FNUSA's regulatory advocacy, we have been advocating for changes to the T Visa Rule to provide more protections for survivors for many years. On April 30th, the Department of Homeland Security released a Final T Visa Rule including many FNUSA recommendations that will allow survivors to safely work and rebuild their lives during the growing wait times for a visa.
This new rule allows survivors to access safe jobs and public benefits while they await their visa decision, which acts as a protective measure to prevent them from becoming vulnerable to trafficking and other forms of exploitation.

Survivor Reentry Project
FNUSA's Survivor Reentry Project (SRP) utilizes a network of pro bono and legal service providers to connect survivors with representation for criminal record relief.
What is the difference between a legal service provider and a pro bono attorney?
A pro bono attorney is typically an attorney who provides free legal services to a client. These free legal services are typically in addition to their primary legal practice. Legal service providers can be a nonprofit organization or legal clinic.
SRP is lucky to work with attorneys in every capacity!
