STUNNING: The president just aired a campaign-style TV ad in the White House briefing room...and the TV networks carried it live.
Then CNN admitted it! Reporter Jim Acosta said, "The White House essentially tried to play a campaign style video in the White House briefing room defending the President's handling of the coronavirus pandemic...These briefings have been compared to rallies because of the way the president plays fast and loose with the facts."
CNN's John King then said on air, "That was propaganda aired at taxpayer expense in the White House briefing room."
Trump is freaking out after massive criticism of his threat to fire Dr. Fauci -- known as America's leading expert on the coronavirus -- after Fauci stated the truth about the President's mishandling of this pandemic.
CNN's Acosta continued: "The President is obviously defending himself and putting Dr. Fauci out there to defend him over these comments...when [Fauci] said: Well, obviously, had the social distancing measures gone in place sooner, that we'd have a lower number of dead in this country."
That's what led to today's campaign-style ad -- which even CNN's Wolf Blitzer said is "something I would expect from his reelection campaign, not from the sitting President of the United States in the briefing room. Very, very awkward to put it mildly."
Not just awkward. Irresponsible to air live. Sign the petition telling the networks stop.
