1. NC VALUES: Pride month is coming
In just a couple of days, we will find ourselves in the middle of
“Pride” month where LGBTQQIP2SAA+ activist organizations bombard us
and our children with demands to legitimize sexual sin.
Whether by lighting the White House in rainbow-colored spotlights,
or adorning the front of stores with aisles of rainbow-themed
promotional merchandise, June marks the entrance of a month-long
celebration of—of all things—pride. In particular, pride in a sexual
disorientation.

2. NEWSMAX: Prisha's de-transitioner
lawsuit to move forward in N.C.
"A North Carolina judge earlier this month ruled that a lawsuit
filed by Prisha Mosley against medical professionals who she says
pressed her to undergo gender transition procedures as a teen could
move forward, making it the first detransitioner suit to proceed in
court, according to media reports. 'The court has determined as a
matter of law that the allegations of Plaintiff's Complaint, treated
as true, are sufficient to state a claim upon which relief may be
granted,' North Carolina Superior Court Judge Robert Ervin said
earlier this month."
We hope you consider praying for Prisha's
case. She has been a huge help to our efforts in the state. We've
helped bring her in to speak at and submit
comments to committee meetings. To read Prisha's testimony,

3. CAROLINA JOURNAL: Robinson leads
Stein 39% to 34% in new poll
"Republican Mark Robinson is leading his Democratic opponent Josh
Stein by a five percentage point margin in North Carolina’s race for
governor, according to a new poll of registered voters by High Point
University.
Robinson’s lead is statistically significant because it’s outside
the poll’s margin of error of plus or minus 3.2 percentage points.
Notably, 22% of registered voters are undecided in the race.”

4. CAROLINA JOURNAL: School
choice isn't a conspiracy
"Rather than subjecting school choice to normal policy analysis,
however, many critics peddle conspiracy theories. They allege that
advocates are out to destroy all public schools, or re-segregate
schools, or use choice programs to instigate a Christian nationalist
takeover of America. These allegations are based on willful or
reckless misrepresentation of the idea’s origins and public support.
School choice is a popular idea, embraced by most Americans, not some
fringe idea that requires extraordinary explanation. Choice and
competition have long been evident in higher education, in preschool
education, in health care, and in other fields where government
funding plays a major role, but producers and consumers are free to
make their own decisions about where and how services are
delivered."

5. CAROLINA JOURNAL: Clear the
budget fog: Lower spending, boost school choice and
transparency
"I am old enough to remember when Republicans were adamant about
cutting government spending and school choice was an absolute and
timely priority. Today, however, the current impasse in North
Carolina’s state budget negotiations deeply concerns me. I wrote last
month that I was afraid of such a thing happening.Traditionally,
conservatives have sought to limit government spending, advocating
fiscal responsibility and the efficient use of taxpayer dollars.
Unfortunately, the present deadlock between the Republican majorities
in the House and Senate threatens to prolong the legislative session
and jeopardizes educational freedom for more than 54,000 Tar Heel
families on the waitlist of the North Carolina Opportunity Scholarship
Program."

Weekly Prayer: NC Officials
LORD, you also have instructed us to pray for our governing
officials, and we come to you in the spirit of this petition. We pray
for our state government and its executive, legislative, and judicial
servants. May they indeed be servants unto the people, and govern in a
manner that protects liberty and virtue. In the same spirit, we pray
for public servants across our local governments. May they all heed
your mandate in Romans 13:4 to be in positions of authority as "God's
servant" and for the "good" of the public. They govern in what we
confess are difficult times. May they plead with you to give them
wisdom, and may your grace to govern wisely be poured out on
them.
Protect us from the oppression and loss of freedoms that other
countries have experienced, and help us to value and preserve freedom,
which we know comes only from You.
"I have indeed seen the oppression of my people in Egypt. I
have heard their groaning and have come down to set them free." Acts
7:34
Amen
