Presidents are supposed to be leaders we can look up to. Now, Trump is a convicted felon. But here’s what Republicans here in Michigan, namely Mike Rogers, immediately started doing: raising money directly for Donald Trump.
Here’s the thing: Trump is using donations to his campaign to fund his legal defense. And with Trump’s sentencing coming up on July 11th, Rogers is quite literally helping bail out convicted felon Donald Trump.
It’s clear that Rogers will say or do anything to get elected – even fundraising for Trump in the wake of his convictions in order to stay in his good graces and appeal to the most extreme parts of the MAGA base.
And if he became a U.S. Senator, it’s hard to imagine things would be any different.
