But that momentum — and this grassroots team — are about to be put to the test.

Everyone is going to be watching closely to see how we hold up against our first big fundraising deadline of the general election, and we’re only hours away from showing our hand.

$300,000 is not a random number.

Every single dollar is going to be critical in the fight to keep Maryland (and the Senate) blue. With less than 6 months until Election Day, coming up short of our $300,000 goal would throw us off our game.

We won our competitive primary because folks knocked on doors, made phone calls, spoke to friends and family, and engaged with their communities.

Now we need the resources to recruit, train, and mobilize even more volunteers.

We got our Maryland-first message in front of voters by running ads to cut through the noise and make the case that I was the best candidate to take on Larry Hogan.

Now we need to refill the coffers to ramp up digital and TV ads and set the record straight on Hogan’s time as governor.
