Join us at the Rangeley Lake Fisheries Management Meeting

Join your local Department of Inland Fisheries and Wildlife fisheries biologists for a brief history of the Rangeley Lake Fishery, as well as a discussion of current and possible future management plans for this important fishery. We will showcase information on Rangeley?s brook trout and landlocked salmon populations gathered from our annual trapnetting and open water creel surveys on Rangeley Lake. We also are seeking interested stakeholders to join a steering committee that will provide input on the development of?a Rangeley Lake Fisheries Management Plan that will help guide the Lake?s future salmon and brook trout fishery.
This public meeting and planning process is part of Maine Department of Inland Fisheries and Wildlife's Statewide Fisheries and Hatcheries Management Plan which includes development of water-specific management plans for fisheries across the state. Join us to learn more about this important regional fishery, and help guide the future management of this thriving fishery that is so vital to the local economy.
