Dear Supporter,

As the election draws nearer, it’s inspiring to reflect on the power of our collective movement. Together, we have achieved so much and driven significant change for women across the UK.

At the Fawcett Society, we are driven by the strength of community and collective action. Every member, supporter, and activist plays a crucial role in our success. Here’s how our movement has made a difference:

* Childcare Reform: We hosted two international roundtables with childcare experts from Canada, Australia, Ireland, and France. This led to the launch of our Early Childhood Education and Care (ECEC) Report in April, featuring a 10-point plan for UK childcare reform. Our influential policy garnered substantial national attention, including articles in the Guardian. This report is an invaluable resource in our ongoing campaigning to improve childcare in the UK.

* Gender Health Gap: In February, we launched our , featuring five powerful case studies. These personal stories highlighted the urgent need for health equity, gained widespread media attention and centred the voices of women at the sharpest end of the gender health gap.
“A doctor told me ‘Black women don’t get this sick’”

* Workplace Equality: We led the 'This Is Not Working' alliance, successfully pushing for the Worker Protection Act to prevent workplace sexual harassment. In May, Angela Rayner announced Labour's commitment strengthening protections even further, a significant win following years of tireless campaigning. This would mean a duty for employers to protect their staff from third party harassment, such as customers or clients.

* Election Coalition: We are co-convening the largest ever coalition of women’s organisations to centre women’s issues in the upcoming general election. Our pledge, featured exclusively in The Times, is gaining significant traction.

* Solidarity Against Racist Misogyny: Our statement of solidarity, after the abhorrent racist misogyny targeted at Diane Abbott, gained significant recognition and underscored our commitment to combating racist misogyny.
